Bubba is settling in nicely...

Bubba is here. I went over to Blackwood Animal Hospital to pick him up after lunch today. I got copies of all the shots and surgery they did, and a CD of his Xrays. He has a severe limp of his front right leg but we are all pretty unsure why...it could be nerve damage, but I just don't know. So he is going to PetPT in Cherry Hill tomorrow to see the amazing ortho veterinarian Dr. Russell Howe-Smith after we go to Petsmart in Deptford for a rescue adoption event. As I say below: The ortho thinks it's possibly an old elbow break that didn't heal properly. He doesn't recommend any surgery just some hydrotherapy (pool).
Someone asked if I currently had a foster dog. I didn't so she said "could you please, please help us out with this dog (yet unnamed)???" I couldn't say no. So I called the wondergirls, Emily & Cari, of All They Need Is Love Animal Rescue and they graciously agreed to take Bubba on as theirs if I could foster him. I happily agreed.

He has been nothing short of AWESOME since he got here a few hours ago. He is great so far with Bianca (my kitty) and also with Savannah (my pittie). He likes to lie on the couch, he likes to carry around a stuffed toy, and he also likes to carry his own leash. If you put the leash on he will take the handle in his mouth and start to walk, it's a trip!! He is so amazing.

Bubba is a pit/boxer mix. He is a light brindle and has beautiful light brown eyes. In one word he is AWESOME. He is approx 1.5 - 2 yrs old, neutered, utd on shots, microchipped, dog & cat friendly, men, women & children friendly, super affectionate and he likes to carry his own leash. He is crate trained & house broken!! He currently is limping on his front right leg which the ortho thinks is possibly an old elbow break that didn't heal properly. He doesn't recommend any surgery just some hydrotherapy (pool). He has been flea/tick preventative treated and has been dewormed. He is also heartworm negative. He has some slight demodex mange (NOT contagious to people or other animals) and is on meds being treated for it, should go away soon, it is stress related. He is going to make someone very happy & very lucky to be his companion. Bubba is fostering with me through All They Need is Love Animal Rescue.

Please share his blog and his Facebook page to help get him seen and adopted!! Thanks so much for reading :D
