Hey Folks.....

I need to find a new foster home!!! =(

Foster Mommy is going away and then has family coming in so I'd have to be in the kennel (where I am now) for a few more weeks. It's in my best interest to be in a foster home so I can get to hydrotherapy 1-2x a week in Cherry Hill, which the rescue pays for.
If anyone can foster me I would be forever grateful.
I am GREAT with all people, even kids & babies, dogs, cats, bunnies and I am housebroken.

Please contact the rescue at alltheyneedislove@yahoo.com

Thanks xo

I'm baaaaaack!!!

So Foster Mommy came and got me from the kennel today :-) She took me right over to PetPT for my 2nd hydrotherapy appointment and I did great. I had fun in the pool with Beth, who says I am very, very strong...
When we got in the car I fell right to sleep, but once we got home and I saw Savannah & Bianca, I woke right up and we played for about an hour. Then I went to sleep again when Foster Mommy left with Savvy for a while.
I am very happy to be back at my foster home. I missed them while they were gone. Foster Mommy is going away again next week but I'm gonna have fun while she is home.
Last weekend I got some pictures taken of me by the uber talented Valerie Bruder and they came out so fantastic! They are at the bottom of the blog post.
Savannah wasn't really in the mood for photos but I was :-)
Foster Mommy says I am so beautiful that the right people will come along for me soon...she is in no rush because they really HAVE to be the RIGHT person/people. She wants me to be perfectly happy in my absolutely FOREVER home. They have to love me exactly the way I am, limp and all. She says it doesn't slow me down at all and it just adds character to my already perfect personality....

Bubba's Information

While I am away from my Foster Mommy and she is away from the blog I figured it may just be a good idea to post some information about me for anyone new reading up...

Bubba by Valerie Bruder

I am a Boxer/Pit mix.  I am a light brindle and have beautiful light brown eyes. In one word Foster Mommy says I am AWESOME.
I am approx 1.5 - 2 yrs old, neutered, up to date on all of my shots and microchipped.
I am dog, bunny & cat friendly, men, women & children friendly, I'm even good with babies!! I walked up to a stroller when I first got out of jail, and I licked his feet and he laughed!
I am super affectionate and I like to carry my own leash. I am crate trained & very house broken!!

I limp on my front right leg which the orthopedic veterinarian thinks it's probably an old elbow break that didn't heal properly, so it's turned into a form of "elbow dysplaysia". He does NOT recommend any surgery just some hydrotherapy (pool). I've also seen another vet who as well, does NOT recommend surgery. I'm always going to limp, but my Foster Mommy says it just adds character and she loves me just the way I am. She said whoever adopts me will have to love me just the way I am too. Because trust me, it does NOT slow me down any!! I play with my Foster Sister all over the place. We run around the yard - and I mean RUN, we play tug of war, I can jump up into the car, on the couch, on the bed and even up steps. I started hydrotherapy last night in a pool with the great staff & doc at PetPT in Cherry Hill. It was fun and after the initial panic for my first time in a big pool, he said I did phenomenal!

I have been flea/tick preventative treated and have been dewormed. I am also Heartworm & Lyme negative. I have some slight demodex mange (it is NOT contagious to people or other animals) and am taking some medicine for it, Foster Mommy & the vet say it should go away soon, it was just stress related. Since my life is so great right now it has already started to diminish and my hair has started to grow back in. Foster Mommy keeps on telling me that I am going to make someone very happy & very lucky to be their companion.

Thanks for reading my blog & I will talk at you all next week <3

I did my first hydrotherapy tonight!

Tonight I had my first session of hydrotherapy with the awesome Dr. Russell Howe-Smith at PetPT in Cherry Hill.  Doc was so great with me, Foster Mommy put a life vest on me and I was such a good boy. She kept telling me that, "good boy" and "I'm so proud of you!", so I know I was. She told me over and over how proud she was! She sounds like a silly lady on the video too! LOL
Here is a picture:
Bubba at PetPT
I really had a good time. After the intial panic, I enjoyed myself a lot & then I did super duper well and Foster Mommy was SO PROUD! I'm gonna try to do it 2 times a week :D

Then I went over to John's to meet Thumper again. It can work if we keep trying but he is going to come up to the kennel where I will be all week and let Thumper play with Zuni to see how he would want to play with me and if I am actually the best fit for him. I may not be and that's ok too. I know he loves me and really wants me but Thumper MAY want a different sibling. He could want a sister instead of a brother or someone who can play rough and I can't....but we're still taking it a day at a time, cause we may be able to just work through it !! They are both so nice plus I got to see the girls, Emily & Cari, from All They Need Is Love.

Tomorrow though I have to go to Country Haven Kennel for a week. Foster Mommy has a family emergency and has to go out of town. But John & Thumper are coming to the kennel Thursday night so that will break up the week. John really loves me lots so we will try and try to see if we can make it work...

I may not blog for a few days while I'm away from Foster Mommy but I will be back on Monday! I have another hydrotherapy session at 12:45pm on Monday <3 <3

Fun day today...

Today I had a professional photo shoot with an amazingly talented professional photographer. Val gave Foster Mommy a sneak peek of the pictures! Look:

Bubba by Valerie Bruder
I was so good for the shoot and Val said the pictures came out so well, Foster Mommy is so excited to get the rest when they are finished! Savannah got her pictures done today too and I can't wait to see hers also.

Then after that I had a dog meet today with John and his dog Thumper. Thumper was a really nice doggie but I am not sure if he liked me enough to live with me. We are going to try again tomorrow night because I think Foster Mommy was just nervous doing the dog meet by herself so tomorrow Emily, from the rescue, is going to come too.

Foster Mommy went out to dinner with my foster grandparents for Mother's Day and then they came in to meet me. Even Foster Mommy's Mommy (she is scared of all doggie's except Savannah) and she even pet me!

Tomorrow I start hydrotherapy at PetPT and then we are gonna go to John's and meet Thumper again and see how it goes....keep those paws crossed for me still!

Talk to you all tomorrow...and don't forget if anyone wants to visit me on Facebook click here.

Petco Adoption Event went really well!

So Foster Mommy took me to Petco today and it was so fun! I met Ashley from Lilo's Promise Animal Rescue with Auntie Azita & Auntie Liz. She is my new girlfriend. She kept giving me kisses and I offered her my stuffed animal. A really nice guy named John came up there to meet me and he really liked me. So tomorrow he is bringing his doggie, Thumper, over to meet me. I am going to be such a good boy because if we get along he may adopt me! That would be pretty cool!

On our way home from Petco, we stopped and picked Savannah up from Precious Pets doggie day camp and since we got home 2 hours ago we have been sleeping pretty hard....poor Foster Mommy hasn't gotten to nap because I keep lying in her spot every time she gets up :D

Don't forget if anyone is interested in meeting me please email Emily or Cari or go to the All They Need Is Love Animal Rescue website...or click this for the link to the Adoption Application.

I had so much fun today and this will be a short blog post but I'll add some pictures below and a link to a video Foster Mommy made of me...

I'm just as good as any other doggie!

Bubba is a total lover and just wants to be by your side....with a stuffed animal in his mouth of course!

Today I hung out with Foster Mommy most of the day, while Savannah was at camp with her BFF Rylie. She was really sick or something yesterday so I couldn't post a blog but she went to the dogtor last night and was back to her normal self this morning (thank goodness) cause Foster Mommy cried a lot last night and then so did I in my crate when we went to bed...but I don't think I was supposed to cause Foster Mommy kept saying I was keeping her awake :)  But I just want to add that Kaitlyn (Auntie Susan's daughter) came over to visit me on Wednesday after the other doggies got home from camp. She is 11 years old and I love her....you'll see a pic of her & I below :)

This afternoon Foster Mommy was "trying" to nap and she was lying in her bed and Bianca (my Foster Sister kittie) was on the bed with her. I kept standing up at the edge of the bed and licking Bianca's head....then she played hide and seek with me under the bed for a little bit. Of course Foster Mommy didn't get to sleep but hey, it was Bianca's fault, not mine right?

Today when Savannah (my Foster Sister doggie) came home we both ate dinner (now we eat Blue Buffalo Freedom, Grain Free) and Foster Mommy bought me a "Go-Slow" bowl because I gulp my food down and it did help but I couldn't get those last few pieces....I think she got me a Medium and I really need a Large but it's ok ... then Savannah & I got to go play out back and we had a lot of fun. We ran around and played tag, then we played tug of war with a 3 ring toy, then we played chase and then laid down and chomped on a branch together til Foster Mommy took it away. RATS! Then we just hung out for a little bit before coming in to rest. We took all our medications. I take an antibiotic, a Rimadyl (for pain), some Ivomec, some Rescue Remedy and a Benadryl for my itchies and FM said it should lep me sleep at night too, but she says she isn't seeing it and laughs. Savannah gets a Benadryl for her allergies and she had a take her heart worm preventative pill Interceptor. Foster Mommy puts them in Pill Pockets that taste like Duck & are allergy formula (so grain free too) so we eat them up real fast, they are yummy!!!

Tomorrow I am going with Foster Mommy and some other All They Need Is Love Animal Rescue people & dogs to Petco in Cherry Hill for an adoption event. I hope lots of people come out to meet me and maybe even fill out applications to adopt me! That would be so cool because Foster Mommy is going on vacation in a couple weeks and I will have to stay at the kennel for 3 whole weeks!!! I'd rather be living in someone else's/my new family's home then!!

Come and out and meet me!! I will give you big sloppy kisses, I promise!! <3 Enjoy some pictures below!

Not a huge fan of the rainy days...

I'm not a huge fan of the rainy days. I like to sleep...I went outside a few times but Savannah was at Dog E Day Camp all day so I just slept on the couch and chewed my new toy that Foster Mommy bought for me today. It's a Nylabone Chew (but it's a puppy one so it's softer) and I LOVE IT!

The people that came to meet me yesterday decided not to adopt me....sad but that just means they weren't the right people for me. I need to find someone who is gonna love me just the way I am....limp and all. I have seen an ortho vet who does NOT recommend doing surgery. He just recommends hydrotherapy so there is nothing more to do but that, and I will ALWAYS limp...so Foster Mommy says someone who loves me just the way I am will come along :)

I see the rescue's regular vet tomorrow but that's just to decide what medications or supplements may help my leg long term. I hope I am a good boy for them so Foster Mommy doesn't get upset...I try to be very good all the time.

Savannah & I just ate dinner and went potty. Now Savvy is sleeping and I am chewing my Nylabone again. Foster Mommy is going out to dinner so I'm trying to look really cute until then...

Talk to ya tomorrow folks <3

Don't forget to share my blog with your friends, and check me out on Facebook, like my page and share me there too! Maybe someone will see me and want to adopt me! You never know!!!

What a good day today

I had a pretty fun day. I got to play with Aunt Susan for a little bit and played with toys in the backyard like I've never gotten to before in my life, I've never been so happy!!!!  Then Miss Elaine came over to meet me and fell head over heels in love with me...but we have to wait for her to "talk to the husband" before she & Foster Mommy can make any decisions....then Aunt Caroline came over to visit too and I do love to lie in her lap and get my ear scratches...

Miss Elaine's husband came by to meet me, but he was a little less excited about the prospect but he did say he liked me very much & that after I see the vet to let him know what the vet says about my leg and other stuff.

For now Foster Mommy says she is still going to continue networking me and trying to find me a home. I did get one application at Petsmart on Saturday so Foster Mommy said she will see if the wondergirls of All They Need Is Love Animal Rescue have processed the application and what the news is about that one too...

Whew. Tomorrow I get Foster Mommy all to myself since my Foster Sister Savannah goes to camp with her BFF Rylie at Precious Pets Dog E Day Camp for the whole day. Then Thursday at 1pm, Dr. Evans will come by the house to check me out...then I start PT on Monday for hydrotherapy :)

Enjoy some pictures!

A Bubba Sunday

Today Savannah went to camp with her BFF Rylie so I had the whole day with Foster Mommy. Susan, Josh & Kaitlyn came in this morning when they came to pick her up to go to camp. They are SO nice. Kaitlyn played with me, Josh pet me and Susan let me sleep on her leg...and she gave me lots of hugs and kisses. I really like them.

Then Foster Mommy's best friends, Aunt Caroline & Uncle Steve came over. I really like Aunt Caroline and even sat on her lap on the chair to get kisses but I wasn't so sure about Uncle Steve. I barked a lot at him and then I kept my eye on him....I didn't want him to get too close to Foster Mommy...when he did, I would bark again....he was very nice and gave me treats, but still.

I took a nap earlier with Foster Mommy. She fell asleep on the couch so I slept on a blanket on the floor next to her. Now we are both lying on the couch until Savannah (my foster sister) gets home. We did go outside for a bit to enjoy the nice weather. But after all, it is Sunday....so we are resting :D

Don't forget to look me up on Facebook at Bubba the Wonder Foster and to contact Emily or Cari at the rescue to meet me or fill out an adoption application.

Thanks again for reading!

Bubba saw the doctor today...

So we went to PetPT today and saw Dr. Howe-Smith. He manipulated Bubba's leg and it turns out it is his elbow that is hurt. Doc thinks it's possible that it was broken at one time and healed improperly. There is nothing he would recommend surgically to correct it but he will benefit from hydrotherapy. So we will probably start that this week. It looks like we may do twice a week initially...He did great at Petsmart today and pretty much sold himself to a few different families....let's just keep our paws crossed that he keeps that up and gets a new forever home soon!!!

Not that I am pushing him out the door. Other than liking to sit ON ME in the car, he is a phenomenal dog. Good in every single way. He is housebroken and crate trained, good with dogs, good with cats, good with men & women, good with kids, has no problem being pet while eating or having anything taken away from him, he lets Savannah drink out of the water bowl with him and loves to JUST CHILL out and sleep at your feet.

The "supergirls" of All They Need Is Love Animal Rescue bought me a harness with the ability to click in to a seat belt today so that worked wonders for the rest of the day. We also changed his food to Blue Buffalo grain free. Not only is it a VERY good quality food, but could help speed up the mange recovery. He has a very slight case of demodex mange which he is already on medication for and being treated. It is not contagious to people or other animals. I will start bathing him soon with medicated shampoo as well. He really is an all around perfect dog.

If any one is interested in learning more or filling out an application to meet Bubba please email Emily or Cari at the rescue.

Bubba is settling in nicely...

Bubba is here. I went over to Blackwood Animal Hospital to pick him up after lunch today. I got copies of all the shots and surgery they did, and a CD of his Xrays. He has a severe limp of his front right leg but we are all pretty unsure why...it could be nerve damage, but I just don't know. So he is going to PetPT in Cherry Hill tomorrow to see the amazing ortho veterinarian Dr. Russell Howe-Smith after we go to Petsmart in Deptford for a rescue adoption event. As I say below: The ortho thinks it's possibly an old elbow break that didn't heal properly. He doesn't recommend any surgery just some hydrotherapy (pool).
Someone asked if I currently had a foster dog. I didn't so she said "could you please, please help us out with this dog (yet unnamed)???" I couldn't say no. So I called the wondergirls, Emily & Cari, of All They Need Is Love Animal Rescue and they graciously agreed to take Bubba on as theirs if I could foster him. I happily agreed.

He has been nothing short of AWESOME since he got here a few hours ago. He is great so far with Bianca (my kitty) and also with Savannah (my pittie). He likes to lie on the couch, he likes to carry around a stuffed toy, and he also likes to carry his own leash. If you put the leash on he will take the handle in his mouth and start to walk, it's a trip!! He is so amazing.

Bubba is a pit/boxer mix. He is a light brindle and has beautiful light brown eyes. In one word he is AWESOME.
